Finals Week Has Arrived

The season conclusion of the Sumo Hospital Cup is upon us as Brothers take on Wests in the big dance at Ballymore.

After A thrilling Preliminary Final at Sunnybank Rugby Club where Wests toppled Norths 43-20, the stage is set for an inticing final against minor premiers Brothers.

Wests’ halves have real star power in Japanese League One halfback Yoshiki Yoshioka and Queensland Reds’ five-eighth Harry McLaughlin-Philips, feeding their Fijian centres, a class act. Brothers, led by Will Wilson (brother of Wallabies Captain Harry Wilson), went through the season undefeated until their last match at St Lucia against UQ Red Heavies, where a masterclass by Mac Grealy disrupted what looked like them breaking the 110+ years’ record of being undefeated in the Hospital Cup championship,

South’s Rugby Club

📅 NEXT HOME GAME – 11 JULY

Mark it in the calendar, this is set to be a massive day at Chipsy Wood Oval.

We’ll be hosting Sunnybank in the annual Damien “Dunga” Drew Memorial Match, a special day to honour a Souths legend and celebrate everything he meant to our club.

With a full day of rugby, great atmosphere around the grounds, and the Wallabies game streamed live on the big screen in the clubhouse afterwards, there’s plenty to look forward to.

Get your teammates, family and mates together and make a day of it. See you at Chipsy. 🖤🤍
